Big Brother

I wanted to post a little about our Jamers! We are so blessed to have him, James has the most caring and tender spirit. His personality can get anyone to smile and his brother's and sister LOVE him!James gets batteries for Porter and his Leapster and loves to take care of his sister (even if they do fight sometimes)! Weston just loves to climb up in his lap and snuggle, to which James is more than willing. I am so thankful that all of my kids love to snuggle and give hugs and kisses. They are all my favorite!

Grandma & Grandpa Huso (The ones' with the Dog)

So my parents came over the other night and the kids were SO excited to see them. It seems everyone's schedules get so busy and it's hard to get together. Of course Grandma starts reading - her favorite and the kids too, thing to do - and Porter get's out the bouncy balls...HIS favorite thing to do.

Porter LOVES to roll bouncy balls back and forth and back and forth and will do this with whoever will sit with him for however LONG they will sit with him to play!! Grandpa was a huge hit playing bouncy balls and Porter loved all of the attention - of course!

Even Weston joined in on the fun with his suction cup gun and loved to sit in Grandpa's lap and shoot the gun at whoever he could! We just love my parents and are so thankful for all they do for us. It's such a huge blessing to be surrounded by family on Landon's and my side.
Ruthie is excited to have girl cousin's sleepover night with Grandma on Friday...I don't know how much 'sleep' anyone will get, but it'll be fun!

Ward Water Party

OK - so Porter wasn't a fan of the water party. Big surprise with all of the spraying and tons of people. Poor guy asked to go home a dozen or more times and this was the best 'smile' I could get from him. At least he hung in there!
James and Ruthie LOVED spraying the fire hose from the fire truck. The Firemen showed up right as we were loading everyone up in the car...so we unloaded and the kids got to go inside and look at the truck and then spray the hose! Super FUN! I think their favorite were the fake tattoo's' from the firemen...shhhh don't tell Grandma...but they had a blast!!!

Picnic of Burgers and hot dogs on the grass. Landon signed up to bring chips and I signed up to bring water...so we hit Costco on our way and got both :) I love the colors in these pictures and it was one of the better ward partied where everyone stayed relatively happy!

I know I post a lot of Weston but he just takes the cutest pictures! He had fun pushing the stroller around and buckling the buckles on it over and over...That and eating chips. What a fun night to be with our friends at church and let the kids run crazy!

So thanks to Heather there's a picture of me at the party...be it big and pregnant...but anyways proof that I was there (and did almost all the picture taking) :) I've decided that arranged marriages are great and have deemed Weston to marry Tatum. We'd love the in-laws and they would have the cutest kids with the longest eyelashes!! But more on that later...

Ruthie & Emry

Ruthie had so much fun at the ward water party! She ran around with all the kids but this shot was my favorite! Ruthie and her friend Emry loved doing the water balloons and getting sprayed by the hose! More pics and slides to come...

Ruthie gets to go to Kindergarten

Ruthie is so excited that she gets to go to Kindergarten this year. She missed the cut off by 1 DAY so we tested her in. Needless to say our little smarty passed with flying colors! We are hoping she gets to be in Mrs. Galen's class, like James was last year! She is an amazing teacher and Ruthie went with me last year on Friday's for reading hour and for all the parties! We are so proud of her and excited she gets to be just a year apart from James and Porter who'll both be in first grade this year. It's hard to believe my 3 oldest will be in school all day! It makes me a little sad because we've had such a fun summer and they have grown up so much already. I am so thankful for great teachers and schools that help them to learn their best!

APPLIANCE POLTERGEIST

Are you Kidding Me? So about 4 months ago the dishwasher went out...no drying, super loud, melted everything if you use the heat mechanism...but still at least I didn't have to hand wash everything. So I dealt with it. But THEN...

I opened up the Refrigerator (or so it is named) 3 weeks ago to find that my food was not being refrigerated...what a fraud! So now what? We call in 'MIKE' the appliance repair guy. LIttle did I know that he would soon become a close friend of the family... after replacing the defrost timer
and thawing out the back of the freezer, or should I say mini radiator, he screwed everything back together collected his $165 and called it fixed... well about 3 days later and $140 in Costco groceries gone bad...Mike came to visit again, and replaced the defrost timer AGAIN...oh yeah, it went bad. So we are now on timer # 2 and assured that all is well. I did have the sense to NOT buy groceries and sure enough 2 days later HI MIKE! The timer was out again!!! So over the phone I learned how to manually reset the defrost timer in the fridge and unscrew the screwed stuff...literally SCREWED hehehe, but seriously NOT funny. So Mike comes last Tuesday and replaces the timer. Now we are on # 3 and getting ready to head up to the ranch. So $200 in groceries later I find FROST on the back of the freezer (on the inside and for those who don't know...it's NOT supposed to have frost!). So I call Mike , I should mention that he hasn't charged us a penny and is really a great guy, we just had a fluke Fridge..not the word I would rather use, but all the same... So Thursday Mike comes out and has talked to the manufacturer and replaces a wire in the fridge connecting the timer etc... and says we are good to go!

The next day the Microwave transformer - the thing that makes it nuke the food - goes out. I should mention that the turn table went out about 6 weeks or so ago but we made due. I didn't want to know what that would cost and all the cars had died ( for real) on the same day... The microwave NOT really being on my list of priorities if you know what I mean... So back to the transformer...it would cost about $150 bucks to fix and suggested that we should just get a new one...we figured we'd do that after the ranch trip DUMDUMDUM(B)...
We came home to all the groceries bad in the warm "FRIDGE" and the microwave we bought and poor Landon tried to install horribly loud so we took it back and are still looking! So there is the story of our appliance poltergeist! I hope and pray that he is killed and died with our house and doesn't see fit to grace any of you with his UNWELCOME presence! Pray for us and pass the ammunition!

Ranch 13 Trip

Ranch 13

We had so muchf un at the Ranch this past weekend with Landons' family. We got to go up with his brother Lance and his wife Julie and Landons' parents Larry and Linda. The kids had so much fun with their cousins - they asked today if they could go and play at their house since we're all home now! I will say 8 kids under age 7 wasn't without patience required at times, but everyone got along and had fun and the babies even took their naps!! WOO HOO ya can't ask for better than that. So here's some pics of the group until I can get the 'real' photos from Dad 2 to add.

Our Special Boys

Weston just loves his older brother! It seems that they are a little more alike than we thought. Today was Weston's evaluation for what I thought was just his speech delay and after 2 hours with the therapists He scored delayed in several areas and qualifies for Speech and OT services. I guess it's better to get help early and we are at least thankful that we know the 'system' and how to get started but it all seems a little overwhelming at the same time. I love our kids and am so grateful to be their mom. I just hope I can do a good enough job teaching them everything they need to grow and develope how they should. We appreciate all of the awesome support we have around us with our family and friends!! We couldn't do this with out you!

My 3 Sons

So Sunday I woke up on the couch to see our full size 3 man tent set up in the family room...I was like what's going on and Landon said "It's just as easy as setting up the little one with the tunnels and I can go in there too" So I guess I should call this my 4 'boys'. Our kids have the best Dad ever!

Music Time Anyone

We are so lucky to have such great therapists for Porter. All of the kids LOVE to join in on the end of Music time and it helps Porter with his 'social skills and taking turns' ...looks like we're gonna need more room soon! Thanks Christine for all you do to help our boy!
We had Anzlie Knox over for a sleepover and the girls had a blast together! Ruthie had so much fun playing dress up and Barbies and just getting to be a girl - unlike being one of the boys like she normally is! Of course James had to add his take on the pictures - you know...bunny ears and all :)
What cute girls. It was so fun to have 2 girls hair to do. Although I think I had more fun than they did...they kept asking "are you done yet?"

Weston's TUB time

So the other night I was doing Laundry and Landon was giving Porter a bath and he yells "quick get the camera" So I come running and find Weston having a blast in the tub...the same tub he just got out of and was all ready for bed in his pj's...well Landon was brushing Porter's teeth and didn't see the little sneak get back in...needless to say it was a picture moment!

Fun with Dad

So this is typical Saturday and Sunday afternoon with Dad. Wrestle or just chill out and watch a movie. The kids love having Landon home "all day" and are all over him..."all day" I am so thankful for the amazing man that he is! Love you honey.

My Little Pirates

So a few days ago James decided he wanted to play pirate for the day...well of course his younger brother HAD to join in! Oh how I love their imagination.
So here's my 2 little pirates...AAARRRRG matey!

What's New

So I thought I'd jot down a few things from the last few weeks to try and journal a little bit, since I've been adding all the pictures...

* Our Cali trip was such a blast. The kids swam and played and swam some more. It was fun to watch how they got better everyday...especially Porter and Weston, they both loved swimming and cried when we left the pool.

* 4th of July was with Landon's family at his oldest brothers house and the kids had somuch fun with their cousins there. Landon's dad took a ton of pictures - of course - and was excited to have his new camera for his birthday on the 3rd. I'll post those when I get them from him (thanks Dad) - Weston jumped off the diving board and Porter played basketball while swimming and would just jump right in after the ball and then swim to the side! It's crazy how we work so long and hard to teach our kids to swim and then it just clicks and off they go!

* Baby #5 is due in just about 12 weeks and we are still trying to figure out a name... we like Thomas (Tommy), Conner, and Austin...to name a few, but so far nothing is standing out... any suggestions are very welcome :-)

4th of July with Cousins

The kids all had so much fun swimming and partying with their cousins for the 4th. Weston even decided to jump off the diving board and would cry when he had to wait his turn, at 20 months old I might add!!! Wow our kids are growing up so fast.

James and the boys

James absolutely worships his older cousins, Dallin and Bryce! He had so much fun hanging out with them for an entire week. Between rides at Knotts', going to the beach and the magic show he couldn't have been happier being with 'the boys'.

Our little beach bunny

Although she got a little cold, Ruthie had so much fun playing with all of her cousins. With 5 of her girl cousins, she had a blast! She came home so tan it looks like she has on a swim suit permanently :-)

Porter @ the beach

Porter finally had fun at the beach. Sitting in his chair, eating snacks with Grandma and wearing Michelles' sunglasses. He thought he was the MAN!!! We were just happy to have him with us without any major tantrums or issues. As you can see...he was a happy guy!

Our little Surfer DUDE! Weston loved the beach. The sand, the water, the snacks...oh ans just getting super dirty! Boy was he hard to get clean. But....he had the most fun of all!
